From 28 September 2018 the purchases of public administrations for work footwear and leather protection accessories must comply with CAM, the minimum environmental criteria, as required by the Action Plan of the Ministry of the Environment and the Protection of the Territory and the Sea .
Although the criteria defined concern a specific segment, they intervene in one sector, that of leather goods and footwear, which represents one of the strategic sectors of the Italian manufacturing industry.

Chamber of Commerce of Venice Rovigo, Ministry of the Environment and Protection of the Territory and the Sea and National Unioncamere, as part of the initiatives to promote the minimum environmental criteria (CAM), organize a conference on Friday 12 April entitled "The sustainability of the leather industry and the new opportunities for green public procurement in the footwear sector ".

A seminar on the sustainability of the leather supply chain and the new opportunities for green purchases in the footwear sector which will in particular shed light on the requirements but also on the market opportunities for the sector within the Public Administration. Maria Silvia Pazzi, founder and CEO of Regenesi, will intervene bringing the testimony of a company that, operating also in the leather supply chain, applies the principles of circular economy and environmental sustainability, creating sustainable luxury collections.
