The Bologna-based brand of fashion accessories and design objects that are recyclable and made from post-consumer materials, Regenesi, has just received the Sustainable Fashion Award at Monte Carlo Fashion Week. "A sort of 'lifetime achievement' award, which gives me enormous satisfaction because they have recognised Regenesi as a pioneer of the circular economy in the fashion world," Maria Silvia Pazzi, founder and CEO of Regenesi, explains to FashionNetwork.com.
For a number of years now, Regenesi has also been in contact with beauty brands that use the Bologna-based brand as a technical partner to organise in-store events. "We certainly push hard and proudly on the collaborations we are realising in the world of beauty products. In shops these days, we have such a project with Lancaster, a brand of Coty Italia, or in the chain of 150 Italian Marionnaud shops".
In 2021, Regenesi's turnover grew 300% on the previous year, after +100% the year before. "The reason? We were born 14 years ago, but only now is a real market developing in Italy for our articles, thanks to the continuous increase in interest in environmental sustainability,' explains Pazzi.
